Lauren & Caleb : Part 1

Now that I FINALLY have my blog back to normal (I love/hate technology), I can catch up on several posts that have been a long time coming. You may have already seen some of Lauren and Caleb’s engagement session on my Facebook Page, but here are a few more of my personal favorites! The two are now married, and their wedding photos will be featured in part 2 of this post (GORGEOUS ceremony, y’all). For their engagement session, Lauren really wanted to feature the fact that Caleb is an Oklahoma City Firefighter, so we incorporated a lot of those elements into the shoot. These two are ridiculous-cute together. Lauren is a 5-foot-one Sooner fan, but somehow her crimson-and-cream heart was snagged on this 6-foot-3, blue-eyed, tall-dark-and-handsome COWBOYS fan. That’s the University of Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State University Cowboys, for those that don’t know; The house doesn’t get much more divided than that! In all reality, Lauren and Caleb make a perfectly adorable couple, though we had some trouble managing that height difference during the session–You try fitting both faces into the frame, with 14 inches of space in between! So far, they seem to be handling their differences in loyalty quite well…we’ll see how that goes around Bedlam time 😉 Enjoy the photos, and scroll down to read Caleb’s proposal story from Lauren’s perspective!

With joy, Lizard.

The Proposal:

(From Lauren) “Caleb and I got engaged on September 14, 2013. He almost blew it a couple of months earlier when he text me instead of his sister and said that he was about to order the ring! I ‘pretended’ that I did not read the message even though we both knew I did. We went to Tulsa on September 14th to go to a Luke Bryan concert. On the way to the concert we stopped at a botanical garden called Woodward Park. We were walking around when I noticed that we weren’t looking at any of the plants and flowers. We were walking quickly past all of them! Caleb led me into an area of the gardens that didn’t have many other people. Before I knew what was happening, he stopped walking and turned towards me and started telling me how much he loved me. Then he got down on one knee and proposed! I of course said yes!”
